Data Collection
TabTOC does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All extension data is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.sync.
Permissions Explained
TabTOC requests the following browser permissions. Each is required for core functionality:
- tabs — Read tab titles, URLs, and favicons to display in the tree sidebar
- tabGroups — Sync with Chrome's native tab groups (Chrome only)
- bookmarks — Browse and search your bookmarks within the workspace
- history — Search your browsing history within the workspace
- storage — Save your settings, suspended tabs, and saved URLs locally
- sidePanel — Open the native side panel workspace (Chrome only)
Third-Party Services
TabTOC uses no third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or cloud services. The extension operates entirely offline and locally.
Data Storage
All data is stored in your browser's local storage. Uninstalling the extension removes all data. No data is ever sent outside your browser.
